FYI New Black Mountain Express Chairlift: After 32 seasons in service, the base area chairlift, exhibition, has been replaced with a high-speed quad called Black Mountain Express. Full Moon and Snowshoe Dinner: Keep watch for periodic night time events held at Black Mountain Lodge that include dinner and live entertainment followed by a light snowshoe or hike down the mountain. Weddings and functions: Bookings now open for the summer of 2011 at Black Mountain Lodge.

Moonlight Dinner Series, Jan 7 Moonlight Dinner Series Feb 4 10th Annual Beacon Bowl and Avalanche Awareness Day, February 11, An event backcountry skiers and riders should not miss. Beacon Bowl entrants compete in timed trials to find a buried beacon the fastest. Spectators are able to test out the newest avalanche gear and attend clinics. Moonlight Dinner Series, April 7, Beach'N Egg Hunt, April 8, The Easter Bunny visits A-basin for an Easter Egg Hunt on skis. Both skiing and non-skiing children can participate. The Easter Bunny arrives at the Basin at noon - just outside the Snowsports Center. Egg hunts take place on Molly Hogan (those who do not ski) & Wrangler for those that do ski! Don't miss out! 10th Annual Marmot Grind, April 14, The Marmot Grind in an uphill, downhill adventure race designed to introduce new participants to backcountry skiing as well as challenge the veteran skier. Races are modeled after European randonee events with competitors beginning on foot and running to clip into their skis. Athletes skin uphill on a challenging course and race down to the finish. Race category vertical is approximately 4,500ft, recreational 2,000ft.
22nd Annual Enduro, April 18, Only A-Basin would bring you an endurance race of this caliber. Skiers and riders take laps on the Pali chair from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. without stopping. 69 runs is the record. All proceeds from the event benefit a local charity. Cost - $TBD
